Sue Smith is an LA-based writer/director who was named one of the 10 Funniest Women in NYC by Time Out New York. She's appeared on VH1’s Best Week Ever, MTV, and in a range of other pop culture shows. Currently, she works in-house at Disney Creative Works, developing campaigns for major brands across the Disney portfolio. (Hulu, Disney+, ABC, Freeform, and even the Disney Channel.)
A versatile performer with a background in stand-up, improv, and character work, Sue released her debut stand-up EP, Slutty Pretzel, to praise from Paste, which called it, “A great introduction to a promising young comedian.” Her solo character show, Minimum Rage, ran for a year at the Upright Citizens Brigade in both New York and Los Angeles. NYLON noted her, “Sassy brand of millennial feminist comedy is as relevant as it is groundbreaking.”
Sue has written and starred in dozens of comedy videos, including Your Vagina Can Save the World, and Juggalos: Are They a Gang? Her writing has appeared in Funny Or Die, Jezebel, xoJane, Brokelyn, VICE, the New York Post, amNewYork, and Psychology Today because why not... Her writing portfolio is available upon request.
